Pentagon-Controlled Iraqi National Guard Implicated in Samarra Mosque Bombing

Two mosque guards reported four men in ING uniforms had blindfolded them and planted explosives. A second witness, Muhammad al-Samarrai, the owner of an internet cafe in the area, was told to stay in his store and not leave the area. From 11 pm until 6:30 am, ten minutes before two bombs were detonated, the area surrounding the mosque was patrolled by "joint forces of Iraqi ING and Americans," according to al-Samarrai.

The night before the bombing: Two eyewitnesses

"I live in a district very near to the mosque and I will tell you exactly what I saw hours before the bombing. There is a daily curfew in our city (Samarra) starts from 8:00 in the evening until 6:00 in the morning, in the night before the bombing and just when it's getting dark there was unusual activities by the ING in the area around the mosque, I heard their cars the whole night until next day in the morning. The Mosque Guard's testimony says: Four people with ING uniforms blind folded them and set the bombs. The witness continues, so I ask you how could the terrorists enter the area which is usually surrounded by the ING and enter the mosque then runway without being got by the police?"

Millions wasted in Iraq cash orgy

An audit of US reconstruction spending in Iraq has uncovered spectacular misuse of tens of millions of dollars in cash, including bundles of money stashed in filing cabinets, a US soldier who gambled away thousands and stacks of newly minted notes distributed without receipts. The audit, released on Wednesday by the US Special Inspector-General for Iraq Reconstruction, describes a country in the months after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein awash with US dollars and a "wild west" atmosphere where even multi-million-dollar contracts were paid for in cash.

'Even during operations, doctors were shot at by US soldiers' -Young Iraqi surgeon testifies about the horrors of the Iraq war

Interview with Iraqi surgeon Salam Ismael] "From inside the ambulance, we threw water containers and bread at them. Which immediately got riddled with bullets... The Geneva Conventions state that the warring parties must respect and protect medical personnel, and give them access to the patients. On their part, the doctors must be neutral and treat any injured person. Well, we are accomplishing that task. I have treated Americans, Iraqis, even insurgents. 'But many times, the soldiers attacked doctors and their patients, or blocked and destroyed medical relief. Doctors were arrested while they were operating. 'You are treating insurgents', the soldiers yelled. The patients were dying while the soldiers were beating up the doctors."

According to a classified document prepared for Rumsfeld by his Defense Science Board, the new organization--the "Proactive, Preemptive Operations Group (P2OG)"--would actually carry out secret missions designed to provoke terrorist groups into committing violent acts. The P2OG, a 100-member, so-called "counter-terrorist" organization with a $100-million-a-year budget, would ostensibly target "terrorist leaders," but according to P2OG documents procured by Arkin, would in fact carry out missions designed to "stimulate reactions" among "terrorist groups"--which, according to the Defense Secretary's logic, would subsequently expose them to "counter-attack" by the good guys. In other words, the plan is to execute secret military operations (assassinations, sabotage, "deception") which would intentionally result in terrorist attacks on innocent people, including Americans--essentially, to "combat terrorism" by causing it! If that debt is not sustained by foreign investors through continued use of American greenbacks; we're toast. It is as simple as that. The world will not continue "mopping up our red ink" (Paul Craig Robert's) if it is not backed up by access to the world's dwindling oil reserves. This is why we will not leave Iraq and why there has been absolute uniformity among the establishment media in maintaining their support for the most unpopular, immoral and cowardly war in American history. Aug 1, 2005 Base Set Up to Curb Rebels A force of 1,800 U.S. troops, responding to continuing concerns that foreign fighters are crossing the Syrian border into Iraq, recently began an operation that includes setting up the base, three miles from the crossroads town of Rawah. Earlier attacks had been carried out against Iraqi command and control centers, radar detection systems, Revolutionary Guard units, communication centers and mobile air-defense systems. The Pentagon's goal was clear: Destroy Iraq's ability to resist. This was war. But there was a catch: The war hadn't started yet, at least not officially. This was September 2002--a month before Congress voted to give President Bush the authority he used to invade Iraq, two months before the United Nations brought the matter to a vote and more than six months before "shock and awe" officially began. Truth coming out -- 13,000 US soldiers died, 49,000 injured

"I am an american soldier here and don't want to be. Yesterday, in Abu Gharib prison, we got hit by iraqies and had twenty four of us (24) (died) and forty seven (47) injured. My government has been hiding the true number of our casulty since the begining. We the american soldiers know that there are thirteen thousands of us (died) and forty nine (49) thousand injured and thirty three thousands (33) of the injured were bad enough to be forced out of the military and cripled for the rest of their lives. if only i could get my hands on bush or rumsfeld.
